In short: Millbeck stocks and supports the Robustel range, including R-series industrial cellular routers (R5020 5G flagship, R3000 series, R1510, R1520, R2110), EG-series edge computing gateways (EG5100, EG5101, EG5200) running Debian-based RobustOS Pro, M-series cellular modems (M1200, M1000), LG-series LoRaWAN gateways (LG5100, R3000 LG-OG), and specialist devices including the R3010 elevator gateway. RCMS (Robustel Cloud Manager Service) provides centralised remote management across the estate.
Robustel Strengths in Industrial Deployments
Robustel’s product range is particularly strong in three areas of industrial connectivity.
Edge computing gateways with Debian and Docker. The EG-series (EG5100, EG5101, EG5200) runs RobustOS Pro on a Debian 11 base, with native Docker support for containerised applications. This makes Robustel a strong choice for deployments that need on-device processing, protocol bridging, local AI inference, or custom application logic running alongside connectivity. The EG5200 in particular is positioned for edge AI workloads and Raspberry Pi-compatible application porting.
Specialist industrial form factors. Beyond general-purpose routers, Robustel produces hardware designed for specific industrial niches. The R3010 elevator gateway is purpose-built for vertical transportation applications, with the certifications and form factor suited to lift industry installations. The R3000 LG-OG IP67 outdoor LoRaWAN gateway combines cellular backhaul with LoRaWAN sensor aggregation in a single weatherproof unit.
LoRaWAN integration. Robustel’s LG-series gateways combine LoRaWAN (the long-range, low-power IoT protocol) with cellular backhaul, suitable for deployments aggregating large numbers of low-power sensors over a wide area: smart agriculture, smart cities, environmental monitoring, and industrial sensor networks.
The Robustel Product Range
Robustel’s portfolio spans the connectivity hardware stack from compact M2M modems to powerful edge computing platforms.
R-series industrial routers. The mainstream cellular router range, covering 4G LTE and 5G across multiple form factors. The R5020 is the 5G flagship, supporting global 5G/4G/3G bands with E-Mark certification for vehicle deployments, GNSS positioning, and enterprise VPN options. The R3000 series remains widely deployed for cost-effective M2M applications, while the R1510, R1520, and R2110 cover specific Cat 4, Cat 6, and dual-SIM use cases.
EG-series edge computing gateways. Industrial gateways combining cellular connectivity with on-device computing. The EG5101 (LTE Cat-1 with Docker support) suits cost-sensitive sensor deployments. The EG5100 and EG5200 (more powerful processors, ARMv8 architecture in the EG5200) support edge AI, real-time analytics, and containerised industrial applications. Both run RobustOS Pro on a Debian 11 base, opening up the full Linux software ecosystem for application development.
M-series cellular modems. Compact cellular modems for embedded and OEM applications. The M1200 supports LTE, Cat-M1, and NB-IoT for low-power IoT deployments. The M1000 MP covers 2G/3G connectivity for legacy M2M applications still in operation. M-series modems are smaller than router-class devices and integrate directly into customer hardware.
LG-series LoRaWAN gateways. Cellular-backhauled LoRaWAN gateways for sensor aggregation across wide-area deployments. The LG5100 is the current flagship, combining LoRaWAN with global 4G/3G/2G cellular backhaul. The R3000 LG-OG provides an IP67 outdoor variant for installations exposed to the elements.
Specialist industrial gateways. The R3010 elevator gateway, R3000 LG-OG outdoor LoRaWAN gateway, and other niche products that address specific industrial requirements outside mainstream router applications.
For specific product recommendations by application, our team can match the right Robustel hardware to your deployment requirements.
RobustOS, the Operating System Across the Range
Most Robustel routers and gateways run RobustOS, an in-house operating system developed and maintained by Robustel. RobustOS provides the networking and security capabilities required for industrial deployment: IPsec, OpenVPN, GRE, L2TP, PPTP, and DMVPN for site-to-site VPN; firewall and routing controls; dual-SIM failover; SDK access for custom applications; and integration with RCMS for centralised remote management.
For the EG-series edge computing gateways, Robustel offers RobustOS Pro, a more powerful variant built on Debian 11 with Docker container support. RobustOS Pro lets developers deploy standard Linux applications (Python services, MQTT brokers, Node-RED flows, custom binaries) directly on the gateway alongside the standard networking stack. This makes the EG-series suitable for edge intelligence applications that would otherwise require separate compute hardware.
Both RobustOS and RobustOS Pro receive ongoing security and feature updates, with firmware updates deployable centrally through RCMS or directly to individual devices.
RCMS, Centralised Remote Management for Robustel Estates
RCMS (Robustel Cloud Manager Service) is the cloud platform for managing Robustel devices remotely. It provides device provisioning, fleet-wide monitoring, configuration management, firmware updates over the air, virtual VPN access for direct remote connection, and real-time diagnostics across the estate.
For operators running multi-site Robustel deployments, RCMS replaces site visits with remote management. Configuration changes propagate from the cloud console. Firmware updates roll out across the estate without engineer attendance. Virtual VPN access reaches devices behind CGNAT or private IP SIMs without needing public IP addressing. The platform integrates with Robustel’s SDK for customers building custom application logic on top of the device management layer.
Millbeck can supply RCMS subscription credits and support customers through onboarding, ongoing administration, and integration with the wider connectivity stack.
Combining Robustel Hardware With Millbeck Connectivity
Robustel hardware delivers the most value when paired with the right cellular connectivity, antennas, and management architecture.
Millbeck supplies Robustel devices alongside the rest of the connectivity stack: IoT SIMs (UK roaming, global roaming, eSIM, or eUICC), industrial antennas matched to the deployment environment, and the SIM management platform that complements RCMS for centralised SIM-level visibility.
The advantage of buying through Millbeck is the integration: every component is specified to work with the others, configuration is provided pre-deployment where useful, and a single supplier supports the deployment through procurement, installation, and operational life.
